ASEPTIC TECHNIQUE & BEHAVIOUR
Isolator Glass Breakage
This module introduces isolator operation fundamentals and instructs cleanroom personnel on the proper removal of broken glass in an isolator.
Module Overview
Altoura's Isolator Glass Breakage Training Module is an immersive, scenario-based simulation that prepares learners to respond correctly to glass breakage events while operating within an isolator where contamination control and airflow integrity are critical to product sterility.
In this training, learners explore the purpose and advantages of isolator technology, including how isolators reduce contamination risk by eliminating direct interventions by gowned personnel, the most significant source of contamination in aseptic operations. Trainees then apply best practices for working within the isolator environment, with a focus on maintaining unidirectional airflow (UDAF) and minimizing turbulence through controlled, deliberate movements.
Through interactive practice, learners build the situational awareness and muscle memory needed to operate safely inside an isolator during high-risk events reinforcing the behaviours that protect critical areas as UDAF pushes particles and impurities away from sterile zones.
