Altoura was founded in the Seattle area, and the leadership team and many of the first-generation Altoura employees are still based there. As the team has grown, it has evolved into a highly effective group of engineers, artists, program managers, customer success managers, and business leaders throughout North America. Although the team is highly distributed, they maintain a family vibe, connecting weekly on personal and professional updates while delivering tremendous business impact for Altoura customers.
Our team in Bengaluru is responsible for developing Altoura’s core platform. They are skilled engineers that innovate across the entire stack—from our security and management layer to our robust experience builder—and they own most of the features that we have built. The success of our platform in the largest companies on the platform is a testament to how good the team is—and how well they work together.
Our team in Shanghai is among the best in the world in creating 3D content optimized for real-time rendering. This expertise is the reason why when Microsoft wanted to visualize their new corporate headquarters, they approached Altoura to build the 3D model of it. In spatial computing, content is key. Within Altoura, the content developed by the Shanghai team creates the engagement that makes our customers derive business value from the platform.

Like most companies, Altoura transitioned to a remote work environment at the outset of the pandemic. In 2022, we retain the small-company feel in the way we operate. We anticipate a return to a physical workspace sometime before 2023.
